A Day in Boston

Mike and Grandma Pat both took Monday off from work and we took the boys to Boston. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we had a great day. Amy and Elizabeth both have Mondays off too, so they joined us. Derek is on summer vacation so of course we invited him along too! And mom's friend Sue met us with her granddaughter, Maddie.

We all met at the Aquarium in the morning. Then stopped at Quincy Market in Faneuil Hall to grab lunch and brought it over to Christopher Columbus Park to finish off the afternoon.

James didn't seem too crazy about the big fish at the Aquarium...although the next day he said he wanted to go back. So maybe he liked it in his own little way. The Aquarium has a new tank where you can touch Sting Rays and Sharks.  He didn't actually touch them, but James really enjoyed that part.

This was Joseph's first trip to Boston although he slept through most of the Aquarium and Faneuil Hall. Being the dork that I am, Joseph wore the same Boston Red Sox outfit that James wore on his first trip to Boston when he was 3 months old. Awwww....

Everyone loves penguins

Look at how big that turtle is compared to Elizabeth and Parker!

And soon after, James passed out in the car before we were back on the Pike.
