James had such a great time playing with Ethan. He just couldn't get enough of his big cousin. Mike had to head back to work on Tuesday, but James and I stayed out on the island until he came back on Friday evening. It was nice to spend time with Grandpa Steve, Mary, and the kids. Grandma Pat, Grandpa Jim, Auntie Elizabeth, and Parker also came out for a couple days. It seems like it was the hottest week any of us could remember it being on BI, so it was great to get some beach time in with all of our families!
One of the most exciting parts of the week was that James started walking! We were hoping he'd wait until Mike came over on the Friday ferry to take those steps, but unfortunately he started walking just a few hours before! That's okay though because Mike was really the one to see James take his REAL first steps. A couple weeks earlier, James decided to walk a couple little steps in our living room while Mike was playing with him. But on Block Island, James started really walking and hasn't looked back. What a whole new world that is!
