First Trip to New York City

Mike and I had our friend, Monica's, wedding in NYC this summer. We decided to make a family weekend out of it as the boys were very interested in seeing where we used to live and they wanted to see some dinosaur bones at the Museum of Natural History. With the help of Grandma Pat and Grandpa Jim, we were able to have a great weekend...it wasn't very relaxing, but it was a lot of fun!

It was priceless to see the boys' reactions to Times Square, riding on a subway, and taking a taxi cab. It was also priceless when James and Joseph met Iron Man and Spider-Man in Toys R Us. And later that night in the hotel room, they saw Iron Man fly through the skyline towards the moon. And this has become their favorite memory of our time in New York City :-) (Someday we will tell them that it was just an airplane with red and yellow blinking lights.)

James was very excited to see the Empire State Building.
Park Ave. was closed to vehicles for the day so people could walk or bike right up the middle of the street.
 Mike walking up Park Ave.
 A stroll through Central Park.
 John at the Museum.
Joseph putting on his "glasses" to see the dinosaurs.
A little boy in love with dinos!

A trip to the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier museum.
